CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Discovery features an outdoor basketball court, indoor and outdoor table tennis, outdoor checkers tables, a grass volleyball court, and various "board games" such as Snakes and Ladders and Foursquares permanently painted onto our playgrounds. LEGO Brickworks and Shendy's swim school are located on our street (Scarsdale Road) and are frequently used by our camp.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Activate and rejuvenate your child's learning this summer with in-person or virtual options to our Summer 2021 Camp Discovery for Grades 1-8. Our program features opportunities to improve in Language and Math skills, participate in STEM learning, and have fun in the sun with outdoor activities such as swimming, field trips, and sports. Located at WillowWood School, Camp Discovery runs July 5-30th. You have the choice of either a half-day program (9:30-12:30) or a full day (9:30-3:30) with the option of before and after-care. SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: 1:1 Transition Skills Program: The 1:1 Transition Program is designed for campers 3-16 years of age who benefit from one-on-one support. Using the DIR/Floortime Model, therapists develop an individual program plan to meet each camper's unique learning and sensory profile, and build on the camper’s Functional Emotional Developmental Capacities (FEDCs). Campers in this program will also participate in group activities with therapist support in order to build social/classroom skills with their peers.
6:2 Group Skills Program: The Group Social Skills Program is offered in both junior and senior divisions for campers 5-18 years of age. This program is designed for campers who can participate in a group of 6 campers. Using the DIR/Floortime Model, our group instructors will create a unique individualized program focusing on increasing each camper's Functional Emotional Developmental Capacities (FEDCs) which will support their ability to think, relate, and communicate. Campers will participate in activities with their group in order to build social skills. Campers who may benefit from additional support will be enrolled with Level 2 support.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our schools are specially designed for small group classes (4 students) and they stay either in homestay to hae a total spanish immersion experience.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Teenagers may study the intensive course (4 hours a day Spanish classes) or the super intensive course (5.5 hours a day Spanish classes) at all the 3 CPI campuses. Teen students may share class with students of all the ages. CPI can provide a certificate indicating the amount of Spanish hours studied and the post immersion level attained. This certificate may be presented to the student’s high school or it may be useful for university applications.
An assigned CPI staff member, typically the Student Coordinator, maintains contact with the student’s parent/chaperone to report on their child in general and specifically as to how s/he is advancing with classes and/or adapting to the new culture.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: The full day camp’s daily activities fall into three main categories: on-court tennis instruction, off-court sports and spirit activities. On most camp days, the on-court activities will be roughly 3.5 hours a day. The off-court activities will encompass 2 different sports lasting usually one hour each. The spirit activities such as: country cheer, country information day, crazy hair day (the counselors favorite), country colour day and dress like a counselor day, all take place during the first half hour at camp. All of these different activities are included to appeal to the many different interests of our campers.

Staff members are trained to look beneath the surface of the children and youth in their care – to see potential, fears, and dreams. We believe in each camper’s unique ability to grow, to learn, to make new friends, and to discover their best selves. In a supportive, caring atmosphere, Camp Nagiwa campers and staff members take positive risks, learn life-long skills, and return home after a summer standing taller and singing louder.
SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: We offer personalized special needs camp on a per-camper basis with extensive discussion with camper parents. We do our best to accommodate special needs campers, but we do not have the facilities or expertise to accommodate all campers with special needs.

CAMP FACILITIES: All buildings are block or brick construction with washrooms/showers and common areas integrated into cabin areas. Out food service facilities are top of the line with full time staff and professional service. We have two full-sized soccer/football fields, three separate waterfront areas, basketball court, beach volleyball area, climbing wall, and outdoor adventure/nature areas.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We offer a traditional camping program based on the YMCA values-based camping system. We offer a wide range of activities for campers with varied interests. Our staff are all certified in Standard First Aid, CPR, and Lifesaving techniques.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We have a L.I.T. program for campers who turn 15 in 2014. This program is three weeks, includes leadership work-shopping and training, and a 7 day canoes trip.
We have a L.E.A.D. program for campers who turn 16 in 2014. This program is four weeks, includes leadership work-shopping and certification, other training, a hiking trip, and a canoe trip.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: The Guelph Y provides subsidy for all programs. A financial need application is required.
FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): We have a Family Camp Weekend where families can come to camp and enjoy our regular programming as a family. This is a new program in 2014.

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: At Band Camp Junior, kids have fun with hands-on introductory workshops with some cool instruments and experience a wide variety of music styles. BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Bandology’s annual Band Camp is a week-long day camp for keen music students in grades 7-12 who want to improve their musical skills in the summer. Led by some of the best conductors, clinicians and music teachers in southern Ontario, teenage campers at Band Camp enjoy using top-notch music facilities to participate in warm-ups and chorales, break-out into sectionals and small groups, and rehearse as a full concert band.

CAMP FACILITIES: 2018 Southampton Summer Music will be located in Port Elgin this year due to lack of facilities in Southampton. All programs, with the exception of Jazz, will be held at Port Elgin District Secondary School. The Jazz venue will be in Southampton at Southampton United Church.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: • Programs for children ages 6 - 11, through small ensemble pitched-percussion (xylophone, glockenspiel), movement, recorder playing and singing.
• A choral program for ages 8 and older, express themselves through body and voice, both as individuals and in ensembles. Music in this program is selected to motivate and capture the imagination of this particular age group
• Instrumental Music: Students of all ages have continued to refine their musical direction by choosing an instrument. As participants in master classes for their instrument as well as play in a band at their appropriate level, they continue their exploration in the musical community.
• A jazz program accommodates more advanced musicians interested in exploring and improving their skills in the jazz genre. The classes encompass chord tones, blues, be-bop, tonal and vocal improvisation. This group has a unique opportunity to showcase their talents and newly developed skills in front of a live audience at a local commercial venue.

Students stay in residence and QBSC has had the privilege to use Albert College (www.albertcollege.ca) for the Summer Dance students. Albert College was founded in 1857 and is Canada's oldest coed private school. This beautiful and statuesque structure looks uot towards the Bay of Quinte and is located in close proximity to QBSC.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The program is challenging and designed for the aspiring young dancer. The program offers an enriching and energetic 3 weeks of dance held in a beautiful city with dancers living in a historic residence and dancing in a modern facility. Classes are taught by QBSC's wonderful artisitc staff. QBSC believes that versatility is very important for dancers today, thus classes are offered in a wide variety of dance techniques and styles, these include, Classical Ballet, Contemporary Ballet, Pointe Work, Variations, Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, etc.

A Week On The Farm Camp
CAMP LOCATION: We are 50 minutes from Halifax and 40 minutes from Truro. Our camp is spread out over 400 acres of wilderness and pastures for our horses, petting farm and widerness camping. CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: We have a camper sponsorship program for families who may have trouble sending there child to camp. Additional paper work will be required to apply for this funding.
FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): We offer a Family Camp the long weekend in September. This will be our 3rd year and it is growing quickly.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Winter Retreat for Grades 1-6. Year-round group rentals. Spring and Fall teen guys and gals retreats. Keep an eye on our website for other special retreats and events for 2017.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
We are always looking for a lifeguard for the summer. Volunteer cooks that will give a week in the kitchen.
We also have cabin leader, house keeping, dinning hall, maintenance and barn staff. Most of our staff are volunteer but we do have limited paid positions or you can raise your own support. Staff applications can be found on our web site.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our facilities provide your child with everything they are looking for from state-of-the-art athletic facilities, a fully equipped waterfront and facilities to meet your child’s Arts interests such as music, dance, drama and arts & crafts. Cabins combine the perfect mix of a rustic and traditional camp atmosphere with the comfort of home with full bathrooms and showers in every cabin and all of our campers and staff eat together under one roof in the dining hall. Meals are served family-style and come in many tasty varieties. A wonderful and healthy menu and full range of options including a lush salad bar ensures that all campers can find something to their liking.
Our Medical-Health Centre is fully stocked with medical supplies throughout the summer to ensure that most camper ailments can be dealt with on-site. The camp has a licensed medical professional on-site throughout the summer and we are only 17 minutes from the nearest hospital in Shawville, Quebec, and less than an hour from the renowned Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), in the event that additional medical treatment is required.

Starter Camp
In the First Session this is a two week camp for younger children (Junior or A units) who have never participated in an overnight camping experience. Campers in the B unit may only choose the Second Starter session. Eligible campers are able to choose another Starter Session in subsequent years but only in the Second Session.
After two weeks, if children wish to stay for the balance of the half, parents will be billed for the difference. Parents must pick up their children from camp at the end of the two week starter camp session.

Transition Camp
This is a five and half week camp for any campers (except CITs) who have never attended a full camp session but would like to experience more than just the first session. Campers in the Junior, A or B units may attend transition camp multiple times. Bus transportation will be provided for the children to Ottawa from camp at the end of the transition camp session.

The Weekender
The perfect opportunity for 1st time campers, ages 6-9, to join us for a fun-filled weekend at camp and experience Jewish overnight camp for the first time. The fun starts when the bus leave Ottawa on Friday at 10AM. Parents must pick up their child from camp on Sunday. Arrive just before 1PM, have lunch with us, take a tour of the camp common areas and then head home.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Curious about what our daily camp schedule might be? Sun-up to sun-down there’s something fun planned for your child. Our daily activities include a wide range of athletic, waterfront as well as arts and cultural activities led by a committed group of specialists. Through our well-balanced and varied program (including an Olympic-sized swimming pool and one of the best-equipped waterski/sail/canoe programs), your child will acquire new skills and be given ample opportunity for self-expression. Under the careful guidance of counselors and specialty staff, campers enjoy the outdoors while building self-confidence and developing a sense of responsibility by doing things for others as well as for themselves. Our caring, mature and personable staff is committed to providing campers with a positive and memorable Jewish summer camp experience. We offer a fully kosher kitchen under the supervision of the Vaad Hakashrut.
And of course mixed into our array of scheduled activities is a whole bunch of “unscheduled” silliness and fun.

Nashville, TN Camp: Cumberland University is located in just outside of Nashville, TN – Music City USA! In addition to the great location, this campus features great housing and dining facilities and has fantastic music facilities including a beautiful auditorium and stage, large music classes, and practice wenger units. Near-by attractions include historical buildings and museums, several annual festivals, and the Center for the Arts. Famous Nashville attractions include Music Row which is filled with legendary honky tonks, bars, and music venues, The Country Music Hall of Fame, and the Grand Ole Opry.
Seattle, WA Camp: Our program is held at Four Points by Sheraton Hotel Seattle Airport South. Conveniently located near Sea-Tac Airport and South Puget Sound, this hotel offers spacious hotel rooms featuring ultra-comfortable beds, a mini fridge, ergonomic work space, a laptop-sized safe, meeting spaces, performance ballroom, restaurant, fitness center and heated outdoor pool. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: At Camp Kawartha, the quality of our summer camp programs begins with the excellence of our camp counsellors and leaders. We have worked hard to create a first-rate leadership development program specifically designed to train young adults in the elements of safe and effective leadership.

There is an application and selection process for our 4-week Leadership Programs. CAMP FACILITIES: At Wabikon, campers live in large wooden cabins which sleep 8 to 10 campers and 2 staff members. The camp is divided into sections with the girls' cabins on one side of camp and the boys' cabins on the other. Cabins for our younger campers are located near the centre of camp, very close to shower and washroom facilities as well the large Dining and Recreation Hall and the Medical Lodge. Each section has washroom facilities close by which are equipped with electricity, individual shower stalls and flush toilets.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Wabikon is dedicated to the traditional ideals of personal development, friendship and cooperation. It is the strong belief of the Bernardo family that the camp's cooperative philosophy can best be achieved by limiting the number of campers per session to create a smaller, more intimate environment where each camper can feel like a valued member of the Wabikon family. In addition to Wabikon's full range of daily activities, our program also includes various dramatic and theme based programs mixed in throughout the session. These programs may be afternoon, evening or all day programs and organized as cabin, section or all-camp events. They are a great way to break up the daily routine with some creative, age-appropriate fun and provide an excellent opportunity for teamwork and team play.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS:
Each summer, 16/17 year-old youth from around the world travel to Temagami for Camp Wabikon's excellent Counsellor-in-Training, or 'C.I.T.' Leadership program. The six week program is carefully planned and designed to lead its participants through an educational, challenging, exciting and fun adventure that will help them bridge the gap from Camper to Staff and help prepare them for their future, both within and outside of the camping world.

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Traditional Ontario summer camp offer both day camp and overnight camp experiences in the Greater Toronto Area. Activities such as climbing wall, swimming, ropes course, canoeing and archery highlight the camper's experience.
SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: Kettleby Valley offers an integrated day camp program, with a One-to-One Counsellor, for children with special needs. Our program is available for children on the Autism Spectrum, with Down Syndrome, A.D.D, A.D.H.D. and other special needs. We offer the added assistance and support of having the full attention of an additional group staff member, to enjoy the same traditional activities with the one-to-one camper.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: As a member of the Ontario Camps Association, Kettleby Valley is an accredited camp. We offer campers the opportunity to develop a healthy sense of independence while under the guidance of our qualified staff.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our Leader-In-Training program is a summer camp program for teens who have just completed grade 9. This program is an excellent opportunity to learn leadership strategies, build team skills, and develop a healthy work ethic. As an ‘LIT’, campers are expected to take on responsibilities associated with counselling and instructing while being supervised and guided. The Leader-In-Training program is a three-week commitment with a mandatory overnight session the first week to further the participant’s leadership development.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: From September to June, Kettleby Valley operates as an Outdoor Education Centre for schools and other organized groups. For groups who are looking for a full experience, we offer program food and lodging.
