CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Let self-esteem take center stage this summer! At Camp RYB, your camper will learn acting, play writing & directing skills, with a special emphasis placed on developing a positive sense of self and body image.

There will be a mixture of theatre technique classes and empowerment workshops aimed at teaching campers a new more positive way of thinking about themselves and about beauty. Through fun and engaging activities, we help your child to build their self-esteem, while they develop new friendships!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Here at Stagebugz, we are dedicated to bringing the joy of theater to kids in an affordable and supportive environment. We believe that every student is a star, and we prioritize individualized attention and a collaborative environment. Moreover, we are dedicated to the vitality of arts education, which is why we are commited to donating a portion of all profits to the non-profit organization Artists Striving to End Poverty (ASTEP).

Stagebugz is a new theater camp run by sisters Aspen and Ashley Somers, both current students at the prestigious University of Southern California's School of Dramatic Arts. Aspen is an experienced actress with over 60 credits ranging from theater to feature films. She became one of the youngest directors to be nominated for a BroadwayWorld Regional Award for her play "Letters" at the age of 16. Other credits include director and executive producer of the web series "Quarantwinned", assistant director of Impulse Theater Company's "Speech and Debate", and intern/assistant stage manager for Rocky Mountain Theater for Kids.

Ashley has performed in many notable works including national commericals and TV movies. Aside from acting, she has directed everyone from first-time theatre kids in the youth program at the Town Hall Arts Center to Broadway stars in the series Quarantwinned. She also has plenty of experience working with kids as a nanny and a tutor, and she helped develop theatre curriculum for children as part of the Homework Helpers program.

In 2019 KSS provided over $24,000 in funding to 41 campers. CAMP FACILITIES: Log cabins on the historic site of the Hewes-Kirkwood Inn dot the landscape of Rocky Ridge Music Center's 17 acres of alpine forest at the foot of Longs Peak. There are approximately 40 buildings including a main lodge, dining hall, office, and series of residential and practice cabins. The dining hall doubles as concert hall and lecture/rehearsal room. Boys residential cabins and girls residential cabins are on opposite sides of the campus with faculty residential cabins and other buildings in the middle. Trained, qualified counselors reside in the residential cabins with the students. Practice cabins are found throughout campus with pianos available in most cabins. Rocky Ridge owns a state-of-the-art water filtration system is tested daily and provides plenty of clean, mountain-fresh water on campus.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Founded in 1942, Rocky Ridge Music Center is dedicated to providing transformative music education at both our historic summer campus in Estes Park, CO and our newly established year-round Music Academy in Boulder, CO.

The Center’s programs give students of all ages and levels a variety of opportunities to work with exceptional artists, teachers, and colleagues from around the world. Rocky Ridge encourages participants to engage in lifelong music-making and to build creative communities where they live and work.

Rocky Ridge Music Center: transforming lives through music, nature, and community.

Students come from all over the world to study music in beautiful surroundings located at the foot of Longs Peak in Estes Park, Colorado. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Youth should plan to be online 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. weekdays, and to work ten additional hours per week on their projects. Most of the scheduled time is for projects but some of it will be for meetings.

Required equipment: A tablet or phone with a front-facing camera. A video camera or DSLR camera will also work.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a modern Retreat Center comprised of 24 lodging rooms, an industrial kitchen, meeting and dining rooms. Campers stay in our cabins that boast rustic charm with the modern amenities of electricity and running water. Outdoor facilities include hiking trails, archery range, pond, low ropes challenge course, campfire rings, and outdoor vespers sites.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The mission of Highlands Summer Camp is to foster belonging, connection, faith, curiosity, and a sense of adventure in our campers through a safe and fun camp experience.

Highlands Camp is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA), signifying that we meet high standards for health, safety, and operational management.

Summer camp is run by our full-time, year round Program Director who ensures compliance and meets all specifications for the ACA and Colorado Childcare Licensing Standards. The Program Director also maintains an active Wilderness First Responder certification.

We are fortunate to have a Registered Nurse onsite 24/7 during camp sessions to provide medical care for our campers and staff.

Camp counselors are trained in CPR and First Aid and participate in a full week of staff training to ensure proper training on policies, procedures, emergency plans, behavior management, activity facilitation, and FUN!

All staff undergo fingerprinting and background checks.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: We believe that camp is for everyone and we don't want financial stress to be a barrier for kids to come to camp. For this reason, we provide scholarships for camp. The scholarship application can be filled out as part of the camp application.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Our family camp is designed to allow adults and children to enjoy camp together. Whether you're wanting your child to try out camp alongside a parent/grandparent before sending them to camp on their own, or you're looking for a family bonding experience, family camp may be for you! Feel free to sign up as an entire family, parent/child, grandparent/child, aunt/uncle/niece/nephew, or whatever family means to you! There are no age restrictions for family camp.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
We hire seasonal summer camp counselors to guide our campers in safety, fun, adventure, and exploration.

CAMP FACILITIES: Boulder Ballet School is in the Dariy Arts Center, and has three spacious, beautiful studios with marly floors.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Boulder Ballet offers comprehensive and rewarding dance experiences for those looking to increase their knowledge and experience in classical ballet as well as other dance forms. Our summer programs are ideal for those looking to become diverse movers with rigorous training and a good dose of fun. Summer Session: June 6-August 6
8 week session of weekly classes for ages 3-adult, and all levels of ballet classes. Contemporary classes available for ages 9-adult.

Summer Intensive: July 11-July 30
3 week camp that meets Monday-Saturday, for ages 10-18 with prior ballet experience. Taught by Boulder Ballet faculty and professional company dancers, this program offers ballet, pointe, jazz, acting, and other styles of dance essential to a well rounded dancer.

Master Classes: August 8-August 12
A strong platform for dancers who want to attain a professional ballet experience and for those who simply want to deepen their enjoyment of the art of dance. This year, our Master Classes teacher is Colorado Ballet’s long time principle Sharon Wehner. This series is for dancers 8-adult.
