CAMP FACILITIES: We will be using the dorms at Suffolk University

CAMP FACILITIES: Our building has an indoor space for sports, a kitchen for our cooking activities and 4 classrooms for different age groups. Outside we have a basketball hoop, 4 square and hopscotch alongside the beautiful Forest Park. We drive the children to a Woburn public pool for swimming and go to a local baseball field for our annual ASC Kickball game.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our carefully selected, experienced staff is dedicated to meeting the needs of each child by providing a safe and caring environment. They take an active interest in promoting values of self-esteem, independence and mutual respect. Many are teaching professionals who work in Woburn and surrounding towns. All are trained in CPR, first aid and childhood development. The diversity in age and background of our staff helps to make the ASC "The place where kids have so much fun, they beg to stay later!"

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: During the school year we pick up from Woburn Elementary Schools and transport the children to the After School Club where they stay until 5:45p.m.

During Christmas, February and April vacations we are open full days from 7:45a.m. - 5:45p.m.

CAMP FACILITIES: Housing is in basic college-style dorm rooms. Three meals a day are served in the dining hall, and snacks are available around the clock. Thompson Island features an ocean beach for swimming, hiking trails, athletic fields and equipment, and beautiful views. Sunrises and sunsets are particularly beautiful as seen from the island!

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:

CAMP FACILITIES: Lawrence Academy is a private boarding high school that offers summer programs. The campus has a swimming pool, 12 tennis courts, 3 indoor basketball courts, 8 athletic fields, a theater, dining hall, and numerous indoor air conditioned spaces. Summer programs are open to ages 3.5-17.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The 100-acre Lawrence Academy campus provides the setting for over 30 day camp offerings for children entering grades K–12 and an overnight English, Mandarin, Spanish, and French immersion program for American and international students. Summer Programs at Lawrence Academy are divided into three types: Day Camp, Specialty Camps, and Sports Camps. We offer nine one-week camp sessions beginning June 22, and ending August 21, 2015 for children entering Kindergarten through grade 12. The camp day begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. An on-campus swimming pool is available to all program participants.

CAMP FACILITIES: George School is oaks and hemlocks, dogwoods and redbuds. It’s cleome blossoms in the bushes and clover in the grass. It’s running paths through the woods and Frisbee on the lawns. It’s red brick buildings, old wooden desks, wireless internet.

George School is the solar-powered Alternative Energy Center. It’s a Philadelphia meetinghouse from 1812 conserved and moved to our campus. It’s future-minded sustainability and a Zen-ish bear hug of the present. It’s hundreds of research databases and ebooks at the library, 600 seats at the arts center, and one-on-one meetings with a teacher.

CAMP FACILITIES: Lodging accommodations at Camp Timber Trails include rustic summer cabins sleeping 4-8; three private cabins with 1-2 bedrooms, bath, and kitchens; the Lodge sleeps 6 and has a meeting space for 60 and small commercial kitchen; the Welcome Center sleeps 2-6 and has meeting space for 25 and a kitchen. West Wind Dining Hall and kitchen can accommodate up to 500. The Barefoot Ballroom is uniquely fitted with a sprung wooden dance floor.

An outdoor amphitheater overlooking the pond has bench style seating for 200. The waterfront on 16-acre Ward's Pond includes swimming beach and docks for canoes, kayaks and row boats. The large activity field has plenty of space for softball, soccer, concerts, festivals and outdoor events.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Timber Trails is available for groups to rent for a single day, a week or a month. Our facilities allow groups the flexibility of creating their own unique camping program. Camp facilities are available from May through October for overnight groups with as few as 10 to as many as 250 participants. Non-residential day programs can accommodate groups larger than 250. Scheduling programs from November through April is also possible, however groups size is limited to 20 for overnight programs and 50 for day use.

Katerina Romanenko, Ph.D. Assistant Director of Youth and Family Programs

An experienced educator and visual culture historian, Dr. Romanenko specializes in Museum education, art history, American History, and object-based learning in formal and informal environments. She holds a PhD in Art History from the City University of New York and for more than 15 years teaches art history and works in Museum education. She also holds a BA in Education Sciences and has experience in research, development and implementation of educational programs for different age groups.

Alicia Mino, Art Educator, Manager of the School and Community Programs

An accomplished practicing artists and art educator, Alicia Mino received her Master’s in visual communication from the Metropolitan University of Chile, She spent fifteen years in Italy studying art history, oil painting, and sculpture. She presented in numerous art exhibitions and founded the Mates Art and Design Studio, where she taught drawing, oil/acrylic painting, and sculpture fundamentals for ten years. In 2008 Alicia moved to Philadelphia where she continues to exhibit her work and teaches art.

Lindsey Murphy, Art Educator and K-8 Program Coordinator

An art educator with over a decade of experience in the field of education, Lindsey Murphy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology; concentration in Archaeology from Millersville University, and an Elementary Teaching Certification from Millersville University. She worked as a general education classroom teacher in the Oxford Area School District in Chester County, PA for 8 years, and has worked in PAFA’s education department over the past 11 years creating and implementing numerous museum tours and art making experiences for children and families of all backgrounds, becoming the K-8 Program Coordinator in 2019..

Melissa Hendrixson, Art Educator

Melissa Hendrixson is an artist and art educator who has worked in Museum Education for over five years. She has her Bachelor's of Fine Arts and Studio Certificate from Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and has gained experience through assisting the coordination and development of various museum programming including family programs, youth art classes, and summer camps. She now works for the School and Community Partnership Program as an art educator where she develops and implements museum tours, school lessons, and community outreach programs to support student learning, parental engagement and visual literacy initiatives.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Wingate*Kirkland is a nurturing, coed, day and overnight camp where children are inspired and empowered with a choice of daily activities; indeed a traditional camp in many ways, staying true to old fashioned values. And like it was nearly 60 years ago, Camp W*K is not a “plugged in” camp. Children feel supported and confident to step out of their comfort-zone and try new things without the fear of failure. Camper safety, having fun, and developing life skills are our priorities. Camp W*K is also food allergy friendly and completely peanut, tree-nut and sesame free! We partner with our families in ensuring that all food sent to Camp is ingredient-checked before being sent to the bunk. This includes food items made with sesame or peanut oil and/or produced in a factory that uses sesame or nuts. The safety and well being of everyone at camp is our priority. 2D Game Design
Learn to program by creating your own 2D game! From side scroller to endless runner and anything in between, you will learn how to bring your idea to reality. At the end of this camp you will have a playable game that you can share with your friends and the experience and tools to make as many games as you want!

Digital Designer
Creating your own character can be overwhelming, but this class can teach you the steps you need to create a fully flushed out, real character! This class will teach you how to create a model of your character as well as all of the traits that make the character believable. You can use these characters in anything from D&D to professional animation!

Tabletop Game Inventor
Games come in all shapes, sizes, complexity, and feeling. In this camp students will start by learning how to think about game design and game flow, working through idea, prototype, and finally making a full game that they made and can play with their family and friends. Students will be able to craft their game using a variety of tools to help bring the beauty of their design into the real world.

3D Design in Blender
This class will teach you how to create an amazing 3D character in Blender! This class will focus on how to create your own characters in blender that can be used for any game you might use! We will focus on modeling, rigging, and rendering your character.

Game Dev in Unity 3D
Make a game that is uniquely yours using industry leading tools while learning the C# Programming Language! From RPG to adventure game, this camp is all about bringing your story and imagination to life, and at the end you'll have a game that is playable and shareable with your friends.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Our Studio Membership program offers students the opportunity to continue enhancing their skills and working on projects throughout the year. We provide a guided learning environment with individualized instruction, which can be tailored to fit your schedule.

For Jr. Makers Ages (8-11), we have dedicated times for instruction with students at various stages of completion, The project diversity helps students communicate and bounce ideas off each other, part of community building. So in short when you're ready to start, we will be ready for you. Studio hours for Jr’s are M, T, Th 4pm -5:30 or 5:30 to 7:00 & Sat 12pm to 1:30 or 1:30 to 3pm.

For Studio Members (12+) Our Studio Offers an experiential, free-form learning environment that is designed to introduce learners to STEM (STEAM) and real-world job concepts. Our Studios operate from Monday to Thursday, 4-7pm, and on Saturdays from 11am-4pm.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Are you a tinkerer? Do you enjoy taking things apart and then putting them back together? How about using the latest technologies and real world equipment to teach kids how the world works? If so, then this may be your dream job! Guild Hall Studios (Our Camp Website Link: www.guildhalllearning.com) is an educational makerspace that introduces children and teens ages 8-18 to STEM and real world job concepts using readily available, easy to learn, yet powerful tools and components. We are hiring additional smart, creative, dynamic coding and engineering instructors to deliver our one of a kind program to students in Woburn, MA and throughout the Boston area. This part-time position includes teaching programs during after school hours (4pm-7pm) with weekday mornings and weekends throughout the year, and full day camp programs during the summer.

Buckle up – this is hard work! At Guild Hall every kid and every project is unique. You'll be in charge of leading excited kids through challenging projects using, managing classroom conflicts, constantly learning and collaborating with other instructors. – this will be the toughest job you’ll ever love!

REQUIREMENTS: Flexible schedule: availability during weekday afternoons and some weekends a must during school year, full weekdays during summer months are available as well.

Experience and passion for teaching teenage students in an energized maker classroom or summer camp setting.
STEM related coursework, experience with Unity 3D, arduino, Raspberry Pi and other technologies interest and/or experience a plus!

Pre-employment background check is required.

This is a part-time hourly position, 15 – 20 hours/week (30 – 40 hours/week possible during summer).

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Accredited Day Camp in South Easton, MA seeks teachers or individuals with education certification to work with children ages 3-14. You will be responsible for leading groups of children through their daily activities. Applicant will also be responsible for supervising other staff members. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: A summer dance workshop is a rare opportunity for students (ages 4-18) to focus on dance, uninterrupted by competing demands of school and other activities. Warm days rich in dance, music, choreography, stage craft classes and the finer understanding of the body that comes from studying anatomy, physiology and nutrition combine for a powerful experience - even for the youngest students!. Students learn about costume design, stage-craft, dance history, and experiment with their own creative ideas as well. They also enjoy seeing and discussing video recordings of classic and new dance performances that connect our students with dancers worldwide.

Main Division students also take classes in classical ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, repertoire, and other character dance, learn advanced stage makeup and present an end-of-workshop performance in the studio theater. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Kreative Kidz camps are fun, high-energy programs that allow young people to fully engage their imaginations as they experience the thrill of creating live theatre. Spend the week feeling like a pop star! Students will perform solos, duets and group numbers. They will also learn choreography to some of their favorite songs. This camp is a chance for students of all talent levels to have time in the spotlight.

The VIPs spend part of the day developing the skills necessary to lead younger campers in daily activities such as sports and cooking. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Individualized instruction in ballet technique, conditioning, repertory, and creative independent assignments will be given with the caring attention that is the hallmark of JMBT’s school. Participants will receive a student instructional workbook and other course materials thoughtfully designed to optimize comprehensive ballet training during times of necessary physical distancing.

Students will work closely with members of JMBT’s faculty in limited-size classes offering substantial individual feedback. Every student can expect considerable advancement from expert technical training and the opportunity to learn, rehearse, and produce solo performance videos of new, original choreography.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Brimmer and May Day Camp is specifically designed with the younger child in mind. Our goal is to enrich your child's summer experience through play, success, and engagement with other children and with our committed staff. All of our Head Counselors and Specialty Counselors are over 21 years old and most specialize in early childhood education and development. Every day each child from 3 to 10 years old will do a variety of activities: Music, Arts and Crafts, Sports and Games, Drama, Lego, Clay, Nature, Swimming.

Every child at Brimmer and May Day Camp swims every day in our heated pool and no one needs to come to camp knowing how to swim. We will teach your child how to swim!

Our Specialty Programs are taught by Brimmer and May faculty who have designed their program to enhance your child's summer learning in a creative way. They will be encouraged to attempt new things, test themselves and learn new stuff! They will get an hour of free swim in our heated pool every day.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: The Counselor-in-Training program at Brimmer and May will provide an opportunity for students entering ninth and tenth grade to teach and work with younger campers as apprentice counselors while learning the ropes. CITs (also known as Campers-in-Transition) are under the supervision and direction of experienced professional staff. CITs will get an opportunity to work with each age group, and when appropriate, be asked to lead activities. Weekly meetings provide feedback and guidance throughout the summer.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Since 1979, Skyhawks sports has led safe, fun and skill-focused sports camps and programs for youth between the ages of 3-12.

We offer many different different sports--and countless ways for your child to grow. The camps range from soccer to baseball to our popular mulit-sport camps where kids sample three different sports (soccer, basketball and baseball) in one camp.

Our camps and programs are offered locally throughout over 500 communities. The format includes traditional week-long summer day camps and year-round after-school programs that range from 45 minutes to 6 hours in duration, per day. At Skyhawks we go the extra mile to focus on safety, and we have a long-standing proven safety track record and processes to prove it. For example, all Skyhawks Sports camps start and end with our unique safety process called "Gate System and Parking Lot Duty." This process is where coaches come and greet both parents and campers in the parking lot when parents pull up to drop off their children.

Our staff guide the kids onto the field/court and out of harm's way by funneling them into our gate system. Eye contact is maintained from each one of our staff members until the kids make it onto the field/court where they are grouped by age. This efficient process ensures safety. Additionally, it develops a level of trust between parent, coach, and child that ultimately leads to a fun and skill-focused camp for youth.

CAMP FACILITIES: KSA's gorgeous property features a 200 acre lake, a 15,000 square foot main lodge, 20,000 square foot field house, new bunks and brand new courts and fields. Kutsher's has 9 outdoor tennis courts on site, along with 4 outdoor and two indoor basketball courts. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Since 1960, Camp Sewataro has been sharing the joy of traditional day camping with boys and girls, initiating them into a world of new and exciting adventures, activities, and friendships. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Sewataro’s Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program is a two-year leadership program for young adults who are interested in becoming camp counselors. Participants attend one four-week session each summer. The program’s objectives are to develop counselors who emphasize learning, fun and safety through a positive work ethic, leadership, and enthusiastic spirit and to provide its participants with a summer of personal growth and enjoyment. It provides a unique opportunity for participants to develop a sense of camaraderie and responsibility.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Mass Motion Dance Summer Camps are a fun and educational summer activity for your child offering the opportunity to experience, experiment and explore the many different aspects of dance. Mass Motion Dance has offered quality dance training since 1983.

With locations in Sturbridge, Boston and Peabody, Mass Motion Dance has highly qualified instructors.

Dancers spend each day in two different technique classes including ballet, modern/contemporary, jazz, Broadway, tap, hip hop, and lyrical. Alternating with technique classes, students are offered complimentary activities such as improvisation, composition, tumbling, pedagogy, dance history, and choreography.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Mass Motion Dance (MMD) offers high quality dance education, to students of all ages, through a wide variety of dance classes. Founded in Sturbridge, Massachusetts in 1983, under the direction of Terri Gordon, MMD has proven its excellence in dance training. Ms. Gordon, a former member of the Boston Ballet Company and Tanz Forum, the modern dance company of Cologne, Germany, is passionate and driven to develop each student’s technique to its highest level. In 2003, MMD proudly announced the opening of the Boston studio under the direction of Irada Djelassi. In 2010, MMD North opened its doors in Peabody, Massachusetts to students under the direction and ownership of Katherine Hooper.

Whether a student’s goal is fitness and recreation or a future career in dance, at MMD dancers will find classes that fit their objective as well as their schedule. Students may choose from a broad range of dance idioms such as ballet, modern, tap, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, Irish step and more. MMD strives to teach the strongest technique to each student, in a positive setting, allowing each dancer to find their passion for the art and sport of dance. CAMP FACILITIES: We are a 32 room facility with classrooms, comfortable individual and group therapy spaces, a breakfast room, a living room for morning meeting, as well as a Nurse's office.

There is also an outdoor play space, garden, and an outdoor pool, basketball court, and a gym/fitness center. We also have use of 500 acres of conservation land for learning and fitness.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Sunshine, dba Reed Academy was established in 1975, to provide a camp-like atmosphere where boys, ages 6-18 have a program where they can flourish with summer activities, and still maintain the skills that they have been learning throughout the school year.

Camp Sunshine, dba Reed Academy has grown to be a full year program. Reed Academy, the 12 month program is dedicated to helping boys with social and emotional needs. The highly structured program is to promote academic growth as well as providing an extended day for students to engage in fun and supervised activities.

Our camp programming works with each child's IEP, and provides additional focus on strengthening of adaptive daily living skills, social skills, and self-esteem building. Our classrooms are small, with ratios 4/5 students to each certified special education teacher, allowing the behavioral and educational needs of each student to be met with care and compassion.

Camp Sunshine, dba Reed Academy also has a full time LICSW and clinical staff on board to assist in providing support within the therapeutic milieu. In addition, the Executive Director, Academic Director, and Program Coordinator work closely with the students and staff members.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have 45 cabins, with the boys bunks on one half and the girls bunks on the other. All of our facilities are state of the art including a brand new gymnastics center, indoor field house including basketball courts along with a dance studio and weights room. Our outdoor amphitheater is set in the pines, and 11 tennis courts are set in the mountains.

Our lake accommodates waterskiing, wake boarding, sailing, windsurfing, swimming, and an inflatable obstacle course. The lodge has a stage for all theatrical performances, as well as a movie theater and all purpose facility for the entire camp.
