5 Year Olds
As our 5 year old campers transition from Stepping Stones to Main Camp, they will begin to utilize our traditional-sized facilities while participating in enhanced tennis instruction and other athletic activities, American Red Cross swim instruction/recreational swim, nature, music, creative & performing arts and many other exciting activities! Our 5 year old program also features a 'Mini Club' period which allows each group to select from a list of their favorite activities to participate in each day.

Our 5 year olds also participate in our unique, values-based, STARFISH program. The STARFISH program not only supports our camp's mission of teaching children the skills of making and keeping friends while building self-esteem; it creates a safe environment that makes accomplishing that mission possible. Our STARFISH program assists in teaching, promoting and recognizing the values of Sportsmanship, Tolerance, Appreciation, Respect, Friendship, Integrity, Sensitivity and Helpfulness.

6 & 7 Year Olds
Our 6 & 7 year olds take full advantage of our famous 'Club Elective' program on a daily basis, allowing our campers to customize their schedules with their favorite activities! Club options include enhanced tennis instruction and competitive play, musical theatre production, other athletic clinics, innovative studio art projects, and many more!

8 Year Olds
In addition to participating in our great range of traditional activities, our 8 year old campers get the chance to experience the excitement and spirit of teamwork associated with our 'Sports Leagues'. Sports Leagues begin on an every other day basis, alternating with a SECOND 'Club Elective' period. League Teams are divided equally, with the emphasis being put upon good sportsmanship and building self-esteem. Campers may also participate in one of our 'Showtime' musical theatre productions, cook, swim, dance, explore nature, and take advantage everything that our camp program has to offer!

9 & 10 Year Olds / 11 & 12 Year Olds
We recognize that our older campers are looking for a more innovative and customizable summer experience so we give it to them! Our 'Club + Sports Leagues' program allows these senior groups to tailor their summer experience for up to two hours each day. Additionally, these older groups have "flex" periods in their schedule throughout the week which allow their group to once again choose between a list of available activities to participate in. In addition, our older groups enjoy the privilege of venturing off the SRCC grounds on exciting day trips to local attractions and fun, off-site programs.

CAMP FACILITIES: Schodack is nestled in a picturesque wooded valley in the foothills of the Berkshires, our beautiful campus of flat, grassy playing fields is surrounded by acres of our own stunning, private forest. Our cabins are clean, airy and spacious buildings with private toilets and showers in each cabin. We have two heated swimming pools, a lake for boating, dining hall, Rec Hall, Playhouse, Ropes course, amphitheater, Culinary Arts studio, fitness center, ball fields and courts and a hilltop horse corral.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Krouner family has been on this beautiful 100-acre site since 1909 when Sam and Lena Krouner operated a dairy farm, which later became Krouners Hotel. Their son, Lou, and his wife, Clara, converted the hotel into Camp Schodack in 1957; and their son, Paul, and his wife, Linda, became owner/directors in 1970. In 2012, after a lifetime of summers at Schodack, their son Matt became a full-time owner/director…four generations of continuous and dedicated family leadership!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The mission of US Performing Arts Camps is to promote and develop the growth of performing artists in America.

US Performing Arts Camps is considered the premier top tier summer program for training young people in the arts. Our programs are taught by the university or college departments and their professional faculty and guest professionals in their fields.

How we work:

Community—The overarching “C”. The ultimate key to building peace is being able to coexist with those around you, and to build a functional community where issues are raised and resolved in a constructive manner.

Confidence Building—The basic “C”. You have to be able to accept yourself, and be happy with who you are in order to feel an essential part of building a peaceful community.

Conflict Resolution—The tough “C”. The most difficult aspect of working with others is resolving problems that arise in a manner that is beneficial for all involved. It is possible to easily find temporary solutions, but this is only the first step to conflict resolution. For true peacebuilding, one must also know how to find solutions that are sustainable, meets the needs of the community, and take into account the often numerous factors that contributed to causing and perpetuating the conflict.

Collaboration—The cooperative “C”. No community exists in a bubble, and it is important that members feel invested in working together and finding sustainable solutions. Without collaboration, solutions are only temporary.

Creativity—The innovative “C”. Sometimes, we need to think outside the box and use our imaginations to solve conflicts that arise. We have to be open to the ideas of others to make everyone feel comfortable.

Cookies—The fun “C”. One of our strongest beliefs is that the more enjoyable it is to be a part of a community, the more people are going to want to be involved in sustaining it. People must feel like they are having fun in order to be invested in solving conflicts and building a peaceful, equitable society.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our bunks and dorms accommodate 200 people. In addition, our site includes a pool, sports fields and courts, theater, dining hall, a farm and gardens, hiking trails, cob oven, a 2-acre farm, multiple gardens, orchard, low ropes course, herbology center, science center, goat pen, sweat lodge woods, and plenty of space to play. All our buildings and residences are equipped with electricity, hot & cold water, and plumbing. Yoni Stadlin, camp director, is a passionate and talented educator, activist and community builder, founded Eden Village Camp in 2008 with his wife, Vivian Lehrer Stadlin. In 2010, the Jewish Week recognized Yoni and Vivian as two of the “36 under 36” (the 36 most influential Jewish leaders under the age of 36). Yoni holds an M.A. in Informal Jewish Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary, and directed the 92nd Street Y’s science and nature day camp for two years, where he garnered rave reviews from campers, parents and staff. He is a veteran educator for the Teva Learning Center, the country’s leading Jewish environmental education program.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a lake, three swimming pools, large ball fields, a garden and a farm, a playground and separate courts for tennis, basketball, street hockey and volley ball. Our Outdoor Adventure program has special locations for climbing walls, obstacle/rope courses and zip lines. We have a series of individual workshops and studios for dance, music, theater, ceramics, wood, graphics, sculpture, photography, weaving and art.

These provide the opportunity for every child to discover the special satisfactions of creativity. There is a fully equipped indoor gymnastics center and a fencing shed. Special facilities feature excellent instruction in tennis and archery, fencing, track and field. There are also dormitories with bathrooms, where children store their belongings and change clothes. And, of course, there is a kitchen, dining rooms, and a well-equipped infirmary. If it rains, all our workshops, studios and covered facilities allow for continuing programs.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: West Side Y Arts Camp is an experiential summer of fun for ages 5.5 - 12. Arts Camp is a vibrant community-building experience in which campers explore their own creative expression in a safe and supportive environment. Children are grouped by age and together they take 5 classes each in DANCE, DRAMA, MUSIC, and VISUAL ARTS per 2-week session. That adds up to 20 hours of arts instruction every 2 weeks!

The summer is divided into four two-week sessions, each with its own organizing theme. Campers learn different styles and techniques in all 4 art forms all summer long with a focus on foundational skill building, development of original material, rehearsal, and performance. On Thursdays at 4 PM of weeks 2, 4, 6 and 8, each group performs in an informal showcase for family and friends in the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater.

The THEME for Summer 2017 is ARTS THROUGH TIME. In each program session, we will focus on a different historical period -- Ancient/Medievel, Renaissance/Middle Ages, Victorian/Colonial, and Modern Era -- and in each of the 4 art forms, explore age-appropriate curriculum that celebrates the dance, theater, music, and visual art of that time. CAMP FACILITIES: Summit has approx. 30 traditional wooden cabins with electric and private facilities in each cabin. Our main buildings include our newly refinished dining hall, air-conditioned recreational hall, our medical facility, and a newly built outdoor pavilion. Summit utilizes three A frame buildings for our arts programs, a wilderness treehouse with camp fire area for cookouts, newly resurfaced basketball/tennis courts, high/low ropes course with climbing wall, heated pool, private lake, nature fields with a farm area, martial arts dojo, go-kart track with 3 karts. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Summit Camp is a co-ed sleepaway camp for ages 8-19 years with issues of attention: AD/HD, HFA/Asperger’s Disorder, and/or learning differences. Using the frame of a traditional sleepaway camp, we create platforms of success where our campers can experience outcomes such as improved self-esteem, lasting friendships, and increased independence. This is accomplished through a well-orchestrated and expertly staffed backdrop to a largely traditional camp experience- guided challenges, waterfront, adventure course, and more. It is our goal and desire to take our campers from observing peer interactions to engaging in them, to learn and celebrate their own strengths and successes, and to feel a sense of belonging and shared community with those around them while they are with us.

Our Teen Travel program extends the Summit community to provide a safe yet exciting adventure to one of our many attractive national and international destination tours offering 14 day and 19 day excursions. Summit Weekenders provide a youth-group style social retreat for adolescents to have an oasis of independence, enjoyment, and success during the school year months. Regardless of the specific program, Summit provides an expertly staffed, highly structured, and truly fun experience for our youth, and has been doing so since 1969. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our Transitions to Adult Living Skills program for youth aged 15-19 provides learning and vocational opportunities for our teens. Our SUPER TEEN program focuses on building the executive function and daily living skills OUR kids needs to succeed as independently as possible.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our SUNY Purchase College location is a sprawling 500-acre campus located in the heart of beautiful Westchester County. It offers endless acres of playing fields, training areas, and 2 new floodlit turf, football, and baseball fields. As many as six full soccer fields, 12 short-sided fields, and NCAA regulation baseball and softball diamonds are expertly maintained for daily use. Classes during the Summer at Coupé session are structured for groups of students based on their age and experience in the performing arts. The curriculum and daily scheduling keeps campers busy from 10 am until 5 pm in class and workshops, with time for lunch.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Pok-O-MacCready Camps is one of the oldest summer camps in the world. In fact, our boys’ camp is the oldest in the United States having been privately owned and operated by the same family since its establishment in 1905. It’s true! Many of our campers choose to stay for all seven weeks of the summer. Staying for the whole season really allows campers to hone their skills in their class areas, go on more wilderness trips, and means they won’t miss out on any of the big summer camp events! In addition, 7-weekers get to enjoy special events in between the 4-week and 3-week session break such as Beach Day and a day trip to the Great Escape amusement park. Some campers choose to register for the first 4 weeks, and then decide later to upgrade to the full 7-week session, and that’s just fine by us. If you’re unsure whether your camper would like to be a 4-weeker or a 7-weeker, don’t worry…it only takes a mouse-click for us to change a 4-weeker to a 7-weeker. Feel free to discuss that option with your child if you think they could benefit from a longer session!

“ROOKIE CAMP” (2 Weeks, for ages 6-10 only)

For the first two weeks of the 4-Week session, we run a two week “Rookie Camp” for first-time campers between the ages of 6 to 9 years old. We feel this short session is a good bite-sized introduction to summer camp, and also allows campers the flexibility to stay on for the remainder of the 4-week session if they get bitten by the “summer camp bug” and want to stay longer!

3-WEEK SESSION (Overnight) JULY 31, 2018 – AUGUST 18, 2018 Standard Rate: $4,600

The 3-Week session offers two options to campers: a traditional overnight summer camp program, or a day-camp option. The 3-Week session is full of fun classes Mondays – Fridays, with special events planned on the weekends. It’s also the session in which our famous GREEK GAMES take place, as well as some of our campers’ all-time favorite camp events like the “Pok-O-Palooza” music festival, the Jack’s Cup sailing race, Casino Night, and the Pok-O County Fair.

3-WEEK SESSION (Day Camp)* JULY 21, 2018 – AUGUST 18, 2018 Standard Rate: $2,100 for a first-time camper.

Our day campers attend camp from approximately 9am to about 5pm Mondays through Fridays. Just like overnight campers, they get to create their own class schedule from a list of over 30 program offerings. They are, of course, assigned to a cabin and counselor and have their own bunks so they have a comfortable spot to relax during Rest Hour. Day campers also have the option of staying the night for an evening activity or program if they wish, and we can easily make those arrangements, although a small fee may apply. They also have the added bonus of being able to stay overnight the last week of camp for no additional fee!

Our 5 year old program also features a 'Mini Club' period which allows each group to select from a list of their favorite activities to participate in each day.

6 & 7 Year Olds
Our 6 & 7 year olds take full advantage of our famous 'Club Elective' program on a daily basis, allowing our campers to customize their schedules with their favorite activities! Club options include our famous 'Showtime' musical theatre production, athletic clinics, innovative studio art projects, and many more! Campers also enjoy our full-sized facilities including three heated pools, an arts & crafts pavilion, tennis courts, soccer field, basketball courts, baseball field, ga-ga courts, music studios, performing arts stage and much more!

8 Year Olds
In addition to participating in our great range of traditional activities, our 8 year old campers get the chance to experience the excitement and spirit of teamwork associated with our 'Sports Leagues'. Sports Leagues begin on an every other day basis, alternating with a SECOND 'Club Elective' period. League Teams are divided equally with emphasis being good sportsmanship and building self-esteem. Campers may also participate in one of our 'Showtime' musical theatre productions, cook, swim, dance, explore nature, and take advantage everything that our camp program has to offer!

9 & 10 Year Olds
At Hampton Country Day Camp, we recognize that our Seniors are looking for a more innovative and customizable summer experience so we give it to them! Our 'Club + Sports Leagues' program allows Seniors to tailor their summer experience for up to two hours each day. Additionally, Seniors have "Flex" periods in their schedule throughout the week which allow their group to once again choose between a list of available activities to participate in. In addition, all Seniors enjoy the privilege of venturing off the HCDC grounds on exciting day trips to local attractions and fun, off-site programs.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: French Woods Sports and Arts Center provides the summer of a lifetime in a safe, supportive, supervised and age appropriate environment. Campers completely determine which activities they will participate in. Children are offered a wide range of activities that include sports, arts, technology, extreme sports, circus, rock music, electronic music, dance, water sports, DJ and radio, theater, communications, magic, cooking, role playing games, and equestrian. All that and more rolled up together into one incredible summer experience!

There are six activities per day, each one hour in length; three of these periods are called majors and three are called minors.

Majors are chosen at the beginning of each session and are maintained for two weeks. Minors are chosen daily at breakfast. This lets you concentrate on the things that interest you, while giving you the chance to try something new.

Empowering our campers to feel good about themselves and their accomplishments can increase motivation to try harder, try new activities, continues to build self-confidence, and achieve self-efficacy. CAMP FACILITIES: Silver Lake is a picturesque camp, situated on over 300 acres of rolling green hills with a 96-acre private lake. Since opening in 2004, we have been busy improving and upgrading all of our facilities. During that time we have built all new bunks and renovated our basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts. We have also expanded our facilities over the past few summers by adding a new soccer field, "Monster" baseball field, skate park, Pool, and brand new state of the art Gymnastics Facility.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Michael and Shari Baer, owners of Camp Chipinaw, established Silver Lake in 2004 as a session camp that allowed campers to attend for 3, 4, or 7 weeks. Silver Lake incorporates all of the traditions, activities, and spirit of Chipinaw… but does it twice each summer! Simply put, we want to provide campers with the opportunity to go to camp for a shorter amount of time and still get the "full camp" experience.

With state of the art facilities and over 50 activities to choose from, Silver Lake offers a warm family feel. SUMMER CAMP JOBS:

CAMP FACILITIES: We are The Hewitt School and have full use of our facilities including a play roof, gymnasium, music and art studios. We also enjoy Central Park's playgrounds and open spaces.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Summer Clubhouse Camp goes swimming every Tuesday and Friday. We travel by hired coach bus to the Skyline Hotel where we have the entire penthouse pool area and locker rooms reserved for our camp and SwimJim swim school Instructors, Aquatics Director and Lifeguard. Teaching Artisans join our camp for speciality activities such as Chess, Music, Yoga and Science.

We have a top notch Security Coordinator and a Health Director. All of our camp counselors hold current CPR and /or First Aid certifications.

CAMP FACILITIES: Most campers live in either platform tents with modern washhouses, or in our all weather cabins. Rock Hill has a lake for swimming and boating; low, medium and high ropes, a zip line, an archery range, miles of hiking grounds, primitive camping sights, arts and crafts, indoor cabins, and modern dining facilities.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: All Rock Hill campers have busy days filled with traditional camp activities including: swimming, boating, arts and crafts, outdoor cooking, ropes courses, archery and hikes around camp! Nights are filled with campfires, time to choose your own activities, and all-camp activities that could be anything from a Counselor Hunt, to a Luau, or a camp wide Goldrush! Additionally, each girl selects a program theme of her choice and will complete the activities described within. Rock Hill is ACA-accredited and all staff undergo extensive training prior to the first day of camp.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Rock Hill provides a Counselor in Training program as well as hiring Junior Counselors.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Rock Hill Summer Girl Scout Camp is hiring counselors, lifeguards, and ropes staff for the summer of 2020.  Rock Hill is located in Mahopac, NY on 198 acres of forest with access to Long Pond Lake.  Girls and staff stay in both all weather cabins and platform tents.  Applicants must be over 18.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Girls Rock! Camp is a week-long summer day camp program for girls aged 8 to 18. The program offers instrument instruction, workshops, songwriting/band practice, live performances by visiting artists, and culminates in a showcase concert. Two summer camp session are held each summer.

Campers receive two hours of instruction each day on selected instruments (drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, vocals, DJ/turntables), in semi-private groups organized by skill level and age. All classes are taught by volunteer women musicians.

On the first day, campers form bands, and during daily band practice, campers write music and lyrics collectively, assisted by band coaches. Campers also attend workshops on topics ranging from songwriting to sound engineering to self-defense.
