BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: At Band Camp Junior, kids have fun with hands-on introductory workshops with some cool instruments and experience a wide variety of music styles. Led by keen musicians and educators, campers enjoy participating a wide variety of musical activities, from bucket drumming to body percussion to music theory and everything in between. Campers will try out different types of instruments alongside dedicated music mentors. There’s also typical camp games, projects and team-building activities. At the end of the week, campers take part our end-of-week free mini-concert for parents and friends. No musical background is required!

CAMP LOCATION: Band Camp Halton is located in North Oakville, easy to get to for anyone in the Peel and Halton regions. Band Camp Grand River is centrally located between Kitchener, Waterloo and Guelph.
CAMP FACILITIES: King's Christian College is a private high school in North Oakville with a well supplied music room. It also has plenty of outdoor space including a large football field that we host activities on.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: 8-9 am – Before camp care, if requested
9:00 am – Welcome to camp, group games
9:30 am – Choir
10:00 am – Snack, outside games
11:00 am – Music Centres
12:00 pm – Supervised lunch break
1:00 pm – Music games
1:30 pm – Drumming
2:00 pm – Music Centres
3:00 pm – Snack, craft time
3:45 pm – Dance party
4-6 pm – After camp care, if requested
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: For campers with financial challenges, we have partnered with local community funding organizations and private donors to help subsidize camp fees. Please don’t hesitate to email us at info[AT]bandology.ca for more details.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Bandology also runs a Play A Gig program year round that pairs young student musicians with local gig opportunities in their community. Check out bandology.ca for more information.
CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Band Camp Junior – Oakville is $295 for the week (July 11-15). Band Camp Junior – Grand River is launching at $250 for the week (July 18-22). Before and after care is available for an additional charge. Students bring a nut-free lunch and snacks. Camp spaces are limited, so early registration is recommended.
SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
