Katerina Romanenko, Ph.D. Assistant Director of Youth and Family Programs
An experienced educator and visual culture historian, Dr. Romanenko specializes in Museum education, art history, American History, and object-based learning in formal and informal environments. She holds a PhD in Art History from the City University of New York and for more than 15 years teaches art history and works in Museum education. She also holds a BA in Education Sciences and has experience in research, development and implementation of educational programs for different age groups.
Alicia Mino, Art Educator, Manager of the School and Community Programs
An accomplished practicing artists and art educator, Alicia Mino received her Master’s in visual communication from the Metropolitan University of Chile, She spent fifteen years in Italy studying art history, oil painting, and sculpture. She presented in numerous art exhibitions and founded the Mates Art and Design Studio, where she taught drawing, oil/acrylic painting, and sculpture fundamentals for ten years. In 2008 Alicia moved to Philadelphia where she continues to exhibit her work and teaches art.
Lindsey Murphy, Art Educator and K-8 Program Coordinator
An art educator with over a decade of experience in the field of education, Lindsey Murphy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology; concentration in Archaeology from Millersville University, and an Elementary Teaching Certification from Millersville University. She worked as a general education classroom teacher in the Oxford Area School District in Chester County, PA for 8 years, and has worked in PAFA’s education department over the past 11 years creating and implementing numerous museum tours and art making experiences for children and families of all backgrounds, becoming the K-8 Program Coordinator in 2019..
Melissa Hendrixson, Art Educator
Melissa Hendrixson is an artist and art educator who has worked in Museum Education for over five years. She has her Bachelor's of Fine Arts and Studio Certificate from Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and has gained experience through assisting the coordination and development of various museum programming including family programs, youth art classes, and summer camps. She now works for the School and Community Partnership Program as an art educator where she develops and implements museum tours, school lessons, and community outreach programs to support student learning, parental engagement and visual literacy initiatives.

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Theatre Acadie's Petits Summer Camp will engage in activities promoting compassion, emotional understanding, body awareness, trust, creative thinking, collaboration, and play while working with a group of peers in a fun and safe environment! The camp will end in a production of the play STONE GUMBO, written by Sarah Gauthier Roy. Parents are asked to assist in minimal costuming. Theatre Acadie Petits camp is the only performance camp for the younger kids in Lafayette. Camp is taught by actor, singer, writer, director, and mother Sarah Gauthier Roy, who teaches Talented Theatre in Lafayette Parish Public School System.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: This is Theatre Acadie' first summer camp! Mrs. Sarah Roy has been teaching theatre in schools and camps since 2010. She has been performing since 1996. Theatre Acadie is striving to cultivate the unique cajun culture through the Performing Arts.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Performance of STONE GUMBO will be performed Saturday July 1 at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and children are required to attend. The performance will take place in the main stage at Cite des Arts and guests are invited. Children behave and play differently when their parents are around, so I encourage parents to drop off your children and do not stay for class.

Projects include a 30-second commercial and a 10-minute short film, documentary, or stop action.

We also have a separate Kinder Gym Room filled with Kinder Gym equipment.
Studio 84 Dance Studio also leases 2000 sq. ft. of space within our gym.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: GOAL
Our goal is to provide an environment for children to enjoy a healthy, active, happy summer with lots of entertaining activities and positive interaction with others. We utilize the benefits of gymnastics in most of our activities. Our campers finish their summer with new friends, happy memories, and a new gymnastics vision toward physical activity.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We offer year-round Evening Gymnastics and Tumbling classes for girls and boys ages 2-18.
OTHER CAMP INFO: Our theme this year is "Travel in Time with NHG”. Each week will depict a different era or time period. We will have various dress-up days, games, art projects, and special activities each week to go along with the theme. We have a special designed camp tshirt to celebrate our theme. The cost for the complete package of ALL extra activities including a Camp Shirt is $50/child IFpaid in advance. This is a $15 savings if all the activities and shirt are paid as a package in advance! If paid individually, the single cost for each individual activity is about $10. To purchase just a Camp Tshirt, the cost is $15. The deadline to pre-order a tshirt is May 2. A more detailed scheduled of dress-up days, events, and cost of activities will be provided at a later date.
We also offer swimming lessons through the camp. Sessions consist of 8 hours in a 2-week period. A maximumof 6 students per session will be allowed. It will be on a first come, first serve basis. The cost for swimming lessons is $75 per child if attending camp or $85 per child if not attending camp. We will transport the students that attend camp to and from swimming lessons in a private van. Students must provide own bag, towel, swim suit, sunscreen, and eye goggles. See website for the registration form and waiver for swimming lessons.

* Camp activities start at 8:00 AM and end at 4:00 PM. In order to accommodate working parents, we allow campers to be dropped off at the earliest by 7:30 AM and must be picked up at the latestby 5:30 PM. Any campers picked up after 5:30 PM will be charged $5 per 10 minutes late to be paid at the time of pick-up.
CAMP FEES
The breakdown of camp fees is designed to be flexible and convenient. You can pay by the day, or by a few days, or by the week, or by the month, or even by the whole summer camp. All multi-day and weekly fees are due on the first day of attendance for that week. If paying for 2, 3, or 4 days in a week, the days attended can be any days in that week (your choice). If paying for 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 weeks in advance, the weeks attended can be any weeks out of the summer camp (your choice). All fees are payable by first day of attendance, no exceptions. There will be NO refunds, NO credit for days missed, and NO transfer of days to other weeks.
