BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Camp Nagiwa is where summer memories are made, where self confidence grows, and where life-long friendships begin! Staff members are trained to look beneath the surface of the children and youth in their care – to see potential, fears, and dreams. We believe in each camper’s unique ability to grow, to learn, to make new friends, and to discover their best selves. In a supportive, caring atmosphere, Camp Nagiwa campers and staff members take positive risks, learn life-long skills, and return home after a summer standing taller and singing louder.
SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: We offer personalized special needs camp on a per-camper basis with extensive discussion with camper parents. We do our best to accommodate special needs campers, but we do not have the facilities or expertise to accommodate all campers with special needs.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Theater, Fine Arts/Crafts, Video/Filmmaking/Photography, Basketball, Soccer, Swimming, Waterfront/Aquatics, Team Sports, Adventure, Wilderness/Nature, and more. Canoeing, Kayaking, High Ropes, & Rock Climbing.
CAMP LOCATION: We are located in the town of Lakefield, Ontario, in the beautiful Kwartha Lakes. You will find top-quality facilities, as well as over 500m of water access to Lake Katchewanooka. An unbelievable summer camp destination.

Out food service facilities are top of the line with full time staff and professional service. We have two full-sized soccer/football fields, three separate waterfront areas, basketball court, beach volleyball area, climbing wall, and outdoor adventure/nature areas.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We offer a traditional camping program based on the YMCA values-based camping system. We offer a wide range of activities for campers with varied interests. Our staff are all certified in Standard First Aid, CPR, and Lifesaving techniques.
