CAMP FACILITIES: One in-person camp will be held at the Georgetown Public Library in July 2025, located in Sussex County, DE.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Beginner coding skills are taught helping children learn sequencing and terms that grown up coders use everyday to create video games and more. Math and Science activities engage your child in learning and our ARTS program helps students understand how computer artists work in the field.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: This program can also be delivered through our TUTORING service by appointment during the summer.

Online camps such as summer, holiday and school break camps run for 2.5 hours and cost $55 for the session.
1-hour classes run all year long and currently cost $20 per class.

We encourage our campers to work both individually and in groups, thereby learning to appreciate other's skills as well as their own.

CAMP FACILITIES: Most of our camps are hosted in a beautiful newly constructed building of the First Free Church. It is air conditioned.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our camps and classes are all taught by professional teaching artists who engage campers in fun drama games and activities that foster creativity, self-expression and teamwork. Each week is designed around a creative theme and age group. Campers collaborate together to create a performance piece to be performed at the end of each week. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Students entering 5th-8th grades are invited to be a Jr. Camp Counselor for any camp geared towards 3-7 year olds. Jr. Camp Counselor’s receive a 50% discount for their assistance and their responsibilities include:
•Assist with drama games by leading with examples
•Help with story/show creation by supporting and enhancing the creative ideas of the younger campers
•Create and help with set/prop/costume development
•Assist with set up for different activities
•Assist with songs and dances
•Lead warm ups and games with supervision (if desired)
•Arrive 15 minutes early and stay 15 minutes late to help with set up/clean up and go over goals and planning

We also offer a 4 week production camp. The camp runs from July 23rd- August 18th. This year we are excited to announce that we will be putting on Alice in Wonderland JR. This PROFESSIONAL STAGE EXPERIENCE features 2 live performances on the MAIN STAGE at the historic Athenaeum Theatre complete with FULL COSTUMES, SETS, LIGHTS, and SOUND. We offer many different different sports--and countless ways for your child to grow. The camps range from soccer to baseball to our popular mulit-sport camps where kids sample three different sports (soccer, basketball and baseball) in one camp.

At Skyhawks we go the extra mile to focus on safety, and we have a long-standing proven safety track record and processes to prove it. For example, all Skyhawks Sports camps start and end with our unique safety process called "Gate System and Parking Lot Duty." This process is where coaches come and greet both parents and campers in the parking lot when parents pull up to drop off their children.

Our staff guide the kids onto the field/court and out of harm's way by funneling them into our gate system. Eye contact is maintained from each one of our staff members until the kids make it onto the field/court where they are grouped by age. This efficient process ensures safety. SHORTENED DAY PROGRAM for children ages 3 – 5

CAMP FACILITIES: The indoor space is air conditioned and equipped with new filtered water bottle filling stations, restrooms, and is home to many of our activities including but not limited to: Stop motion animation, art lab, sewing (hand and machine), our relax area (think beanbag chairs, spa music, some essential oils in a diffuser from time to time books, chess, checks, etc), pool, table hockey, giant connect four, ping-pong and more! We also have access to the auditorium, cafeteria and 8 indoor classrooms.

The outdoor space includes a playground, full-size turf soccer field, lots of blacktop space for hopscotch, foursquare, chalk city and more! The entire outdoor space surrounded by an iron fence, which is locked during camp.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our fee is inclusive and covers morning and afternoon snacks, lunch and all of our offered activities, automatically. There are no extra registration steps for certain programs, no before or aftercare needed. We never leave campus so caregivers can drop off and pick up their campers whenever it is best for them within our hours of operation. We offer registration for the whole summer (best value), weekly blocks or by the day. Need just an afternoon? Snag a spot in our half-day pilot program from Noon - 6p.

The campers choose from the open activities (different activities are open at different times of day) and spend their time doing what interests them the most. All of our activities are designed to be intuitive, meaning even the youngest of campers can walk right up to the activity and get started. How? Meticulous preparation and plan ahead so that it all comes off as simple and easy to engage in.

We have visual guides for campers to reference and staff always nearby if a camper should want a little help or a high-five to celebrate some cool new thing that they just tried for the first time! CAMP FACILITIES: Classes and camps are taught in two spaces; our Gym is a 3,000 sq/ft gymnasium space that features a 1,600 sq/ft sprung floor, and a fully rigged 24 foot ceiling. Our Studio is a 900 sq/ft classroom space that features a floating sprung White Oak dance floor, a fully rigged 14 foot ceiling, a handstand wall, conditioning ladders, and room length 12 foot mirrors for aerial work.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp is directed by Sylvia Hernandez-DiStasi. Sylvia, recently returned from a successful tour of Lookingglass Alice, is a second generation circus performer who grew up touring with various circuses, including Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus. She also performed at The Circus World Championships in London, England. In 1990 she moved to Chicago and began her career as a circus teacher and choreographer. Sylvia is a co-founder of The Actors Gymnasium and an Artistic Associate of The Lookingglass Theatre Company. Other theater credits include The Lyric Opera of Chicago, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Chicago Children’s Theater, Marriott Theater, and The Steppenwolf Theatre, among others. She recently won the Illinois Theatre Association’s Award of Honor, the 3Arts award for design, and she has been nominated for six Joseph Jefferson Awards for her choreography, winning five.

CAMP FACILITIES: Campers utilize four main rustic living units – Rustling Oaks, Setting Sun, White Cloud, and Shining Star – that provide platform tents and unit houses. These unit houses have electricity, indoor bathrooms, hot water, and kitchen facilities.

Setting Sun, Rustling Oaks, White Cloud and Shining Star units are available for camping. Each unit with the exception of Rustling Oaks, has a unit house and platform tents. Rustling Oaks contains a unit house only. The unit houses are all equipped with indoor flush toilets (White Cloud has composting toilets), full kitchen with cooking equipment, fireplaces, electricity, tables, chairs and mattresses (no cots), and electric heat. The platform tents are available April 15 through October 15 and house 3-4 people per tent with cots and mattresses. Each unit has a fire circle and comes with standard basic outdoor cooking equipment.

Setting Sun sleeps 20 indoors and 26 outdoors in platform tents.
Rustling Oaks sleeps 16 indoors and has a shower.
Shining Star sleeps 24 indoors and 35 outdoors in platform tents.
White Cloud sleeps 24 indoors and 35 outdoors in platform tents.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Your group can experience many activities while staying at Camp Tapawingo including team building on our high and low ropes courses, test your aim on our archery range or take a relaxing ride through the property on horseback. A small paddling lake can be explored in a canoe. If exploring on your own, hiking trails wind throughout the property. These activities are dependent on trained staff and/or volunteer availability.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We have both CIT and LIT programs as well as Leadership Camps and camp assistants.

If you love working with younger campers and hanging out with older Girl Scouts at camp, you’ll love this two-week session! You’ll spend the first week improving your camping and leadership skills and observing the counselors in action as you begin the sisterhood journey. The second week you’ll be paired with a unit to lead daily camp activities. As a CIT, you’ll have plenty of time to stay up late making midnight grilled cheese and playing goofy games.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Our summer activities are open to all girls, including non-Girl Scouts. Any girl entering first grade through twelfth grade is welcome at camp. You don’t have to have any camping experience to come to camp, and you don’t have to come with friends or a troop. You’ll make new friends while you’re here. The GSCI summer camp experience is available in many forms: resident camp; day camp; family events; and core camping, where troops stay at camp and camp staff run activities.

CAMP FACILITIES: JCYS Camp Henry Horner accommodations range from small lodges with kitchen facilities to large dorm-style housing that can accommodate over 100 people at a time. Located on Lake Wooster, our boathouse is full of canoes and kayaks for your water adventures while the lake is home to multiple large inflatables for swimming fun.

Our summer staff of 200 professional and talented role models from around the world provide the highest level of care for each and every camper. Our extremely skilled team includes day and overnight counselors, program specialists and health center staff. For 100 years, Camp Henry Horner has provided a beautiful outdoor backdrop to summer camp memories and friendships.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: All of our campers are mini-counselors in training, and several overnight campers have become some of our favorite counselors as they get older!

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Jewish Council for Youth Services provides over $100,000 in scholarships to families each year. CAMP FACILITIES: We have 5 studios located in the historic Dearborn Station, next to a park and playground where the children have daily recess weather permitting.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Students receive exposure to a variety of dance styles. The day begins with floor ballet, a low impact strengthening and toning class which improves flexibility and stamina. Daily classes include ballet, jazz, African or Latin dance and visual arts. At the end of each day the students go out to the park for recess and free play.

On Wednesday students go on field trips or have a special activity planned. At the end of the session students perform in a recital that showcases all of the skills they have learned over the summer.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: CMDC also offers year-round dance classes for kids starting at age 3. Classes include classical ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, African, Latin and Hip Hop. Adult dance and exercise classes too!

CAMP FACILITIES: Located on the historic estate of architect David Adler, we have 11 acres of outdoor spaces, art studios, and music studios to explore!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Adler is the day camp for creative kids. Staffed by accredited faculty, each camper will experience conservatory level art and performance classes.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Camp Adler's Junior Counselor program is a wonderful entry into adulthood for Campers entering 7th through 10th grades. Junior Counselors interview for admission to the program and provide letters of reference. They then assist Counselors and Faculty with the classes, while also participating in Jr. Counselor only projects.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: The Adler Arts Center provides private music and group art instruction year round.

CAMP FACILITIES: We run our camps in a beautiful and bright air-conditioned performance space. We are a half a block down from an enclosed park where we take snack breaks each day for unstructured play time with friends.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Dream Big was the winner of the 2013 Red Tricycle Most Awesome Award for Theater and Dance Classes in Chicago. It's no surprise due to our talented staff of teaching artists who are all trained professional actors, directors, choreographers and/or playwrights. Their passion for teaching children in the performing arts is contagious and our campers' delight throughout the week culminates in their confident performances at the end of each week.

Camps are geared towards age groups 3-18 and our creative themes range from Dragons, Monsters and Creepy Creatures and Fairy Tales Weeks, to Annie Camp, Improv Week, Musical Theater and countless others! We believe in the power of the arts through collaboration and ensemble-building. All of our classes and camps foster creativity, self-expression and teamwork.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We invite 3-6th graders to be counselors in training at half the price and 7-12th graders as volunteer teaching interns. This is a great experience for children and young adults to take on a leadership role with younger campers and gain teaching experience under trained and experienced teaching artists.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We run drama programs (classes, camps, workshops and production experiences) for all ages 2-18 year round. Classes include musical theater, improv, story drama, scene study, creative drama and more.

OTHER CAMP INFO: In addition to our one-week drama camps, we are also offering Suessical, Jr, a 4-week, full-day production camp! This is the perfect opportunity for young actors entering 2-8th grades to sharpen their skills and work with professional actors and directors on a full-length musical on the Main Stage of the Athenaeum Theatre. Our exciting camp combines professional comedy and theatre training with field trips, swimming and outdoor fun! While maintaining a focus on classes that will help sharpen their comedic minds, campers are also able to choose from a variety of workshops and electives that round out a wonderfully diverse curriculum. Field trips may include Broadway in Chicago, Chicago Shakespeare, and The Second City, as well as fun friendship-building trips to a museum or a recording studio.

Play On Summer Comedy Camp is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and organized individual to join our summer camp team in Evanston Illinois. Intern should be available Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm. 

Responsibilities:
• Assist camp staff with campers in grades 2-8
• Oversee the counselor-in-training program
• Teach and/or assistant teach backstage electives
• Help with technical aspects of camp show
• Provide administrative support

Requirements:
• Must be in college, preferably in a theater program
• Must love children and the arts
• Must crave fun in the summertime

CAMP FACILITIES: We partner with area churches, utilizing their full indoor spaces for learning and other activities, and frequently enjoying the weather for themed activities outside.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our camp staff team consists of 100+ dedicated leaders who’ve worked in theater education or youth ministry. Staff members include Counselors age 18+, and adult Camp Coordinators who oversee each camp location. Our counselors have trained experience in dance, voice, and drama instruction. They enjoy working with campers to help them gain confidence, grow as performers, and most importantly have FUN!

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: CYT Chicago offers high quality performing arts classes in 16 different locations across Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. With emphasis in drama, dance, musical theater, and vocal studies, any child ages 6-18 is sure to find a class that will pique their interest. Our classes are each 10 weeks long culminating with a showcase performance during the final week.

CYT Chicago also offers over 30 professional quality musical theater productions each year. Each production stars an auditioned cast of up to 120 talented students who are currently enrolled in one of our performing arts classes. With several public and school day shows, a CYT production is the perfect outing for anyone looking for a great theater experience!
